Sultan – July 2016

Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ has already created a lot of buzz with its movie posters, trailers, quirky songs and blatant comments. What is most striking is his pairing with Anushka Sharma, and their on-screen chemistry is worth waiting for. It is about Sultan Ali Khan, a wrestler who has problems in his professional and personal life. From a small town wrestler in Haryana, Sultan achieves global fame winning bouts at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the 2011 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Istanbul and the 2012 London Olympics. The film also stars ace actor Randeep Hooda portraying Sultan Ali Khan’s coach.

We can’t help but be excited about this one. This the first time that Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor are starring together in a film, you know, given their equation with Kareena Kapoor. Apart from that, what also works for the movie is the fact that it’s a period romantic drama flick, set during World War II.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – October 2016

movie 13

There are a lot of things going for this flick. First of all, it’s got an amazing star cast. But if that wasn’t enough, even Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma are in on it. The film will also see Saif Ali Khan making a cameo appearance.

Another interesting release is ‘Shivaay’ that features Ajay Devgn and newcomer Sayyeshaa Saigal making her debut opposite him. If there is one film which can be rightly called one of the most-awaited films of this year then that has to be Ranveer Singh-Vaani Kapoor starrer ‘Befikre’, directed by none other than Aditya Chopra. The later part of 2016 has a lot in store of Aamir Khan fans as well! He plays wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat in wrestling in real life. Both of them have brought laurels to our nation at many international sports tournaments. TV actress Sakshi Tanwar plays Khan’s wife, Daya Kaur, and is, of course, her big break.
