Places Where You Should Eat At Goa’s Agonda Beach

By  |

If you fancy getting away from the crowded parts of Northern Goa, head to Agonda. It is difficult to reach from almost anywhere but it is worth all the effort. Apart from its mesmerising beach and calm and relaxing environment, Agonda has a fast-developing food and drink scene that embraces local and international flavours. While Anjuna, Vagator and Calangute can be safely termed as “overcrowded”, a heavenly relaxed beach vibe can still be found on the sands of Agonda.

Other than Agonda’s pristine beauty, one of the reasons to visit this place is because of its food scene that is talking over like wildfire. There are countless places to try the heavenly combination of modern cuisines with a dash of vintage. But what is most exciting is that all these cuisines have an identity of their own.

Check out the list below as we have curated some of the best places to eat lip smacking food and delicacies in and around Agonda beach.

H2O serves organic food with an international touch. Their specialise in seafood and traditional Goan cuisine. They also offer wine, cocktails and of course chilled beer which one can enjoy watching an endless sea. Their prawn vindaloo and pan fried king fish are a must try here.

Dunhill Beach Resort

This beach side restaurant offers a multi-cuisine choice of fine dining. Their seafood is fresh from catch of the day and one must try their lobster which is marinated in yogurt, and flavoured with ginger, garlic and Indian spices and their harissa chicken with Turkish red pepper sauce. Dunhill Beach Resort’s restaurant is probably the best looking restaurant in the entire stretch of Agonda beach.

Fatima’s Corner

You can’t miss this popular joint, loved by locals and visitors alike. This place is located directly opposite the HDFC ATM, the only ATM in Agonda at T- junction road. They have a fun and elaborate menu. The staff here is very polite and the service is prompt. Their special iced tea with mint is highly refreshing, after you have spent your day in the beach. Along with great meals, their breakfast is worth the taste. The best part about eating at Fatima’s Corner is that while you enjoy their delicious food, it doesnt drill a hole in your pocket.

Zest has an excellent juice bar with weird and healthy green concoctions. It is opposite H2O and offers amazing vegan dishes. Their avocado toasts, salads, homemade nut milk and ice creams and a great raw vegan dessert selection are exceptional. Zest is cozy and warm, with lots of new faces to call friends.

Agonda Beach Resort

Agonda Beach Resort’s restaurant is a chilled out sandy terrace, facing the ocean that is perfect for sungazing whilst sipping on their freshly made pineapple juice and munching on one of their healthy salads. Make sure you stay for sunset.

Blue Planet

A little out of the way from Agonda, but so worth the detour for the fresh and healthy vegetarian and vegan menu. If you come with a group, I recommend you get a bunch of different things to share such as the tempeh, spinach and baby corn stir fry, the avocado salad with scrambled tofu and millet chapatti or the spinach pie with pomegranate salad, raw veg sticks, sour dough bread and cashew dip.

Corvo Rindo Resort & Restaurant

Corvo Rindo combines authentic Goan food with it’s Portuguese influence. Enjoy a small selection of dishes and daily specials right at Agonda Beach. You can enjoy the sunset while sampling wines from Sula Vineyards and watching the chefs prepare your food in Corvo Rindo’s open kitchen.

Their specialities are fresh fish and sea food, salads, pastas, steaks and amazing Nepali dishes and legendary homemade lemonades. They also create a special menu every second week. They also bake their own bread and cakes.
