Hair is one of our principal assets and finding more hair on your comb rather than on your head is very depressing and agonizing. Stress, hormonal changes, unhealthy diet, pollution as well as certain drugs cause thinning of hair and eventually lead to hair loss.

1. Wash your hair with cold water and massage your scalp till it tingles.This helps in blood circulation and activates the oil glands of your scalp.

2. Your hair is more vulnerable to breakage when it is wet. Do not comb your wet hair.

3. Curd is an excellent remedy to improve the quality of your hair and it prevents hair fall. Mix curd with black pepper. Apply this on your hair.  Wash off thoroughly when dry.



4. Use wide toothed and soft bristle combs and brushes.

5. Grab spinach and lettuce and blend them to make a juice. Drink one and a half litre of this healthy mixture that promotes faster growth of hair.

6. Rinse away the shampoo and conditioner that you use, well, really very well with obviously, cold water.

7.  Massage your scalp with coconut, castor, olive or canola oil. This will strengthen the roots. Follow this twice or thrice a week.

8. This will break your heart but yes, avoid junk food, or at least the excess of it. Processed food releases a high level of toxin in the body. Drink eight to ten glasses of water, preferably on empty stomach to counter this.

9. Hair styling is essential when you step out but avoid excess heat styling. The heat tends to dry our hair, making it dry and frizzy which over a period causes hair loss.

10. Exercise! Yes, this is the key as it allows better absorption of nutrients in your body.

11.  If you are using mousse or serum to add volume, make sure you rinse it off well during washing your hair with a mild shampoo. Try to have a manageable hairstyle that adds natural volume instead.

12. Trim your hair regularly as split ends result in hair knots and breakage.

13. Do not rub your hair too hard after a shower. Let your towel gently  skim through the entire length of your hair.


14. Cut your caffeine intake as it further depletes the body of its natural resources of nutrients.

15. Use herbal products for your hair and stay away from chemicals as far as you can.

When you stay healthy and happy, it reflects on your skin and hair. so, do not forget your daily dose of happiness.
